Review the parts that carry consequences
Prioritize totals, dates, names, identifiers, table headers, and negations. A missing word in ordinary prose may be inconvenient; a changed decimal point in a financial table can invalidate the document. Compare these fields with the source image even when the surrounding paragraph looks clean.
Use sampling for large batches
For a consistent scan batch, review the first few pages and then sample pages throughout the set. Increase the sample when resolution, page orientation, language, or document type changes. If one error pattern repeats, pause the batch and correct preprocessing rather than fixing hundreds of outputs one by one.
Preserve the source reference
Keep a stable link or file identifier beside the Markdown output. A reviewer should be able to open the exact source page that produced a questionable passage. Conversion is useful because it makes content searchable and reusable, but the scan remains the evidence when OCR confidence is uncertain.
